Join the Coleman School of Dance for an extraordinary dance performance of Romeo and Juliet; a new interpretation of a timeless classic. In this innovative retelling through original contemporary and ballet choreography, the dancers dive into creating relationships and bonds between the storied characters. The dancers portray friendship, love, celebration, suspicion, betrayal, violence, grief, and death all in a magical medieval setting. 

Romeo and Juliet is choreographed by Christie Coleman, Jenny Coleman, Asia Nitollano, & Susanna Procario-Foley. The co-creators are the dancers in the cast. The music is Prokofiev’s brilliant score.  

Closing for this performance is original Hip Hop choreography by Asia Nitollano and Christine Lewis, Musical Theatre Choreography by Victoria Fernandes, one award-winning ballet variation, Diana, and four award-winning student choreography pieces. 

This performance is FREE. All donations go to the PAVE dance program toward Arts Education at New Rochelle High School.
