The Litchfield Historical Society has partnered with the White Memorial Conservation Center for a spookified evening that promises candlelight reading of excerpts from the Washington Irving classic, "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow". After, get ready to take a guided walking tour along Gallows Lane, site of the hanging and death of America's first mass murderer. The evening will end at White Memorial's A.B. Ceder Room with spooky treats.  Here kids will also meet an owl and a bat and watch out for other things that go bump in the night! Bring a flashlight. Halloween costumes are suggested but not required,
