Locals are spoiled with lots (and lots!) of corn mazes in Connecticut to explore; almost every town is close to one. For Nutmeg families, it's an autumn tradition. Many locations boast not just interesting fields of carved corn, but food, animals, ice cream, games, and play areas. As always read through the most updated information on how challenging the maze is and how you should dress. Many offer easier alternative corn mazes for the little (or less patient) kiddos.

Corn Mazes in Connecticut

1. Castle Hill FarmNewtown 

Get ready to explore a 7-acre corn maze (1.5 hours in total) ! (Don’t worry, there’s a way out for those who get lost or just want a quick escape.) While there, check out the pumpkin patch, hop on a hayride, and learn about the cows that call this farm home. The corn maze is open September 30 on Saturdays and Sundays.

2. Plasko Farm—Trumbull

The oldest-running corn maze in Fairfield County is open every weekend from 11 am to 6 pm until Halloween. The path in Plasko's 4.5-acre corn maze twists and turns for about 1.5 miles, so be prepared for an active day. This maze is dense, and "corn cops" will help guide you out if you get lost. Escape hatches are also available for any tykes hesitant about being children of the corn—or those in need of a bathroom break. Plasko's also offers ice cream, pumpkins, cider donuts, mums, tractor rides, farm animals, a country store, and a farm market.  

3. March FarmBethlehem

Negotiate an intricate 5-acre, hill-top labyrinth of corn, and admire autumn’s glory while relaxing on a hayride. Pick your own apples and pumpkins, indulge in sweet treats, let little ones feed the goats, or run free on the super-cool Hayloft Playscape. Once the maze is open, visit weekends from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm. Tickets are only $5, and children 3 and under are free.

4. Bishop’s OrchardsGuilford 

Bishop's corn maze, open daily from 10 am to 5 pm, is a short drive from its popular farm stand. Opening day is September 10. Be sure to indulge in some apple cider. Pick peaches, apples, pumpkins, and pears. Bigger than ever, the maze is 3 acres this year, and the theme is Sherlock Holmes! A mini corn maze is also available for little adventure seekers.

5. Lyman Orchards—Middlefield 

Enjoy sprawling vistas of the Connecticut countryside. Then dive into the historic Lyman Orchards corn maze commemorating Benjamin Franklin. On average, Lyman’s 4-acre corn maze will take 30-40 minutes to navigate. Make sure to stop by the Apple Barrel to grab some ice cream, fresh fruit, and the delicious apple cider doughnuts. 

6. Scott’s Yankee FarmerEast Lyme 

The Pirate themed "Swamp Adventure" corn maze is now open for the Fall 2023 season. Hours are weekdays from 11 am to 5 pm, and Saturdays and Sundays from 10 am to 5 pm. Enjoy wandering the stalks and then grab some of Scott's apples straight off the tree. The corn maze is $11; apple-picking is extra. Don't forget to spend some time on a weekend wagon ride too!

7. Fort Hill FarmsThompson

Come follow the path to freedom with this year's original "Freedom Trail" corn maze. As you walk the 90-minute maze, learn all about the history of the freedom trail. For a shorter challenge, choose the mini maze entitled "Calf Labyrinth." The mazes are open daily through Halloween, and hours vary. When it gets dark, bring a flashlight!

8. Ekonk Hill Turkey Farm’s Corn MazeSterling

Ekonk Hill's farm gives you unlimited corn maze time, hayrides, and access to the barnyard animals. On special nights, you can make the adventure even more exciting by exploring the paths at night (flashlights required). Be sure to indulge in some goodies from the farm store, including fresh ice cream; try the sweet corn flavor. The corn maze is open weekends September 17 to October 30. Children 3 and under are free.

9. Brown's Harvest - Windsor

There's so much to do at Brown's Harvest. Beginning September 30, Brown's is open every weekend for hayrides, kids activities, and time in their 5-acre corn maze. There will also be flashlight mazes in October to enjoy some night-time fun. 

10. Foster Family Farm - South Windsor

Foster Family Farm has two full corn mazes to choose from! The corn mazes this year is crafted into a fun theme: Gnomes! September 16 is the opening day. From then on, the corn maze will be open on weekends from 10am to 6pm. Foster's also has a great "courtyard" for kids that includes jump pads, wooden boats, and lots of fun things to do. 

11. Hidden Acres Corn Maze - Lebanon

HIdden Acres corn maze boasts 6 acres of fun for kids. Find the hidden objects in the maze. Then play light-hearted games like tic-tac-toe, checkers, bowling, and bean bag toss. For an additional cost, play "paint your own pumpkin" or play a fun slingshot game.

12. The Farm - Woodbury

Take a vacation in the "Escape to the Caribbean" corn maze! This 4-acre maze will make you feel like you're playing on the beach, sitting under an umbrella, or sailing on a sailboat. There is even an instructional video to give you the best success at the maze. The maze is open weekends from 10-4.

13. Treat Farm - Orange

Treat Farm in Orange has 6 full acres of corn maze for lots of harvet-time fun. Reserve your tickets here and plan to dress accordingly for the hour and a half maze.

14. Fair Weather Acre Farm - Cromwell

Cromwell's Fair Acre Farm boasts 16 acres of fun and corn maze challenges. The farm is open from the middle of September to October, Fridays through Sundays. Spend time with their animals, on the tire playground, tractor barrel train, and more.  

15. Preston Farms - Preston

The 24th annual corn maze opens this Fall with the theme: 100 "Ears" of Corn to celebrate their 100 years of being owned by the same family. Opening day was pushed back to September 16 (due to rain), but they will be opwn through October.
