Green-Wood Cemetery

Every year, for four days, people in cities across the world join together to find and identify as many species of wildlife as possible. To participate, all you need is a smartphone with a camera and an iNaturalist account. Expert naturalists lead walks to collect data on birds, insects, fungi, and plants at the cemetery.

Walks step off every half hour between 10:30am and 12:30pm. Microscopy activity stations offer an opportunity to view nature up close.

At 11am, Clarinda Mac Low and Carolyn Hall, Genspace creative programs coordinators and the creators of Sunk Shore, lead a 45-minute time-traveling walking experience about how the climate crisis affects the trees at Green-Wood.
