This FREE community event welcomes children and families of all abilities for a fun-filled day featuring live performances, a districtwide student art show and awards ceremony, interactive activities, and valuable resources for families.
Main Stage Highlights:
- 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m.: Celebrate the artistic achievements of local youth at the District Wide Student Art Contest Award Ceremony.
- 11:00 a.m. to noon & 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.: Be amazed by ILL-ABILITIES, an international All-Star Breakdance Crew featuring a team of the top differently-abled dancers. (Sensory Inclusive Performances*)
- 1:00 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.: Enjoy the vibrant sounds of the Greater Miami Youth Symphony performance.
Additional Events:
- Throughout the day, explore the Lab Theater for captivating performances by the South Florida Ballet, Moving Music Museum, and captivating ASL Storytelling by John Paul Jebian.
- Visit the Dance Rehearsal Studio and Classroom for interactive art activities and connect with valuable community resource partners.
- Let loose and move to the beats of DJ Zelda at the Plaza Stage. The Plaza Stage will also come alive with performances by the Miami Lighthouse Youth Music Program, South Florida Center for Percussive Arts, African Watoto and the Community Arts Program.
- Immerse yourself in the world of Jen Clay's Eyes of the Skin, a sensory-inclusive video game and installation, showcased in the Black Box.
- Enjoy a variety of food vendors and keep the little ones entertained with a rock climbing wall, obstacle course inflatable and more on the Backyard Lawn.
