After taking care of everyone else, a mom's night out is in order for Long Island moms who deserve some time to themselves.

Whether you're artsy, craving a delicious meal, or just want to relax, our list of top spots for mom's night out will help you and your friends have a much-deserved night without the kids in tow.

Best Long Island Mom's Night Out Spots for Food and Drinks

1. Bistro 72 – Riverhead

Located right on West Main Street, Bistro 72 is in the heart of Riverhead. The restaurant offers small plates like crab cakes, white jumbo shrimp cocktails, and chicken wings. Entrees include filet mignon, rack of lamb, and local duck. Happy Hour is from 4pm-7pm every day except Saturday. They also serve brunch daily. 

2. Dirty Taco – Multiple Locations

The Dirty Taco is margarita heaven. Specialty margaritas change occasionally, but some customer favorites include the spicy blood orange, strawberry kiwi, and blackberry walnut margaritas. While the dirty taco is known for Asian-inspired street tacos, there are plenty of other delicious menu items to try, such as dirty wings and quesadillas. 

3. The Library Cafe – Farmingdale

Book-loving moms won't want to miss a night out at The Library Cafe, which was formerly the Farmingdale Public Library. The unique and cozy atmosphere makes for a perfect mom's night out. We recommend starting the night off with an order of delicious hot spinach and artichoke dip.

4. The Onion Tree – Seacliff

You'll want to make advanced reservations to visit this delicious Indian restaurant. Start off with the Voodoo wings with honey BBQ sauce, which will not disappoint. The pizza oven is right in the dining room, so it's hard to resist ordering a signature pie as you watch each being made. There are so many to choose from, you may want to order a few and split them with your group. 

5. Takumi – Bay Shore

Mom's night out is a party at Takumi. The hibachi chefs put on a great show, and the food is delicious. If you're not into the sake being shot into your mouth, opt for yummy cocktails.

6. Claynation – Glen Cove

Paint your own pottery or ceramic piece at Claynation. You can also choose to do a glass tile mosaic instead. Advanced reservations are recommended, and reserved by table. There is no cost for the reservation. You simply pay once you've completed your artwork. 

7. Muse Paintbar – Garden CIty, Port Jefferson

Sip wine or indulge in a shareable cocktail as you paint the night away. Even if you've never painted before, you'd be surprised how well your painting can come out. The artists give step-by-step instructions to ensure painting success. 

8. Paint Nite – Multiple Locations

Paint Nite is the same concept at Muse Paint Bar, only the artist visits various restaurants like T.G.I Fridays and other local venues. They set up the canvases and paint in a designated space, and you can order from the menu at the restaurant. The same company offers a plant night in which you can build a terrarium.

Best Mom's Night Out Spots to Sing and Dance on LI

9. KTVing Karaoke – Centereach

Love to sing, but hate to sing in front of strangers? KTVing Karaoke offers private karaoke rooms so you can belt out your favorite tunes with only your pals.

10. Repeal XVII – Huntington

This prohibition-inspired venue has live music Friday and Saturday nights, with a DJ taking over at 11:30pm. Have a cocktail, grab your friends, and spend the night on the dance floor. 

11. Tiki Bar at Sunset Harbor – East Patchogue 

Sip on cocktails and watch the sunset on the water at the Tiki Bar at Sunset Harbor. While there is plenty of seafood to choose from, there are also lots of options for moms who don't eat seafood. There is live music Wednesdays through Sundays.
