American Legion and People’s State Forest
There are several tranquil trails here, including the Agnes Bowen Trail (Orange) which is a traditional 1930's ski trail. Distance - 2.5 miles. Be prepared to see snowmobilers in this park too.

Topsmead State Forest
Topsmead was once a private estate which becomes a winter wonderland when covered in snow. Gates open at 8 am, and close at sunset all year round.

This park is set on 2,300 acres with views of the Taconic and Catskill Mountains. There are many trails for hiking and cross-country skiing.
