Mostly Free and Fun Things To Do This Weekend with Kids in CT September 7-8: Apple Picking, Fairs, Farm Day and Doggie Dash
The end of summer can be a relief or a real downer. No matter which side you fall on, autumn is a perfect time to expose your children to new activities and spend time outside before winter hits. Besides football, our family favorite is visiting orchards. We provide you with our guide to Apple Picking in Connecticut. Kids love this activity, and when you get home put the aprons on and make pies, applesauce, cobblers and other fall favorites.
To celebrate back to school, Mommy Poppins is having a Back to School Swagapalooza Giveaway. Prizes include Two Schwinn Kids Bikes, $150 worth of personalized school supplies from Chronicle Books, a Disney Junior package that includes bedding and a backpack, $100 off at Famous Footwear, and a year's supply of French Toast school uniforms. Another back to school resource we can offer you includes posts on Affordable pre-school options in Fairfield County and After School Enrichment in Avon and Farmington. Both of these can be daunting to research, so let us be your guide.
