Indoor Birthday Party Places in Southern Litchfield County

Raise your hand if, like me, you prefer to host your kids' birthday party somewhere other than your own home.  I see I'm not alone!  For us, it's difficult enough to keep our home neat and tidy, let alone with a gaggle of energetic, excited partygoers, on top of of our usual brood.  So, when it comes to birthday party planning, and since our twins' birthday falls smack in the middle of the dog days of summer, we opt for indoor spots with plenty of AC!  We've compiled a great list of ideas to begin planning your fun, kids birthday party in Southern Litchfield County. KidsPlay Children's Museum - Just across from the Warner Theatre, on route 202 in Torrington, KidsPlay Children's Museum offers hands-on, interactive fun birthday parties geared towards kids ages 1-10.  Each 2 hour birthday party includes plenty of time for kids and their adults to explore the exhibits in the museum, plus use of their private party room.  For an extra fee, party planners may include each attendees admission, a souvenir cup, goody bag and more.  Party slots available Wednesday-Sunday and members receive a discount on party packages!

The Children's Movement Center - This isn't your typical indoor play place!  CMC is an inclusive place where play and sensory system stimulation meet.  Founded by a physical therapist, CMC boasts some unforgettable playground apparatus, like a zip line and surf simulation machine.  The center accommodates for toddlers right through high school.  Birthday parties range from "bash" to "blowout" depending on number of guests and add-on's, but every party is overseen by a member of the CMC team to ensure a rousing success!

Thomaston Lanes - Nothing beats a good ol' bowling party!  This long-standing pillar of family fun hosts birthday parties for kids of all ages.  Food may be ordered right on site from their full-service restaurant, there's plenty of video games to play in between games, and ask for gutter guards so that even the youngest bowlers can have a great time!

Litchfield Martial Arts & Yoga - One of the few places on our list that offers three hour birthday parties.  The birthday kid is the star of an hour long martial arts fun class, and the studio provides seating, goodie bags, lots of movement and fun!

S&S Sweet Treats - Kids can play bakery...for real!  The party kicks off with an interactive cupcake decorating experience, and after sampling your works of art, settle in for some ice cream cake, party games and crafts!  S&S is a small spot, so parties are limited to 10-15 attendees, but the smell of their tasty works of art is worth it!
